"One of the consequences of our ponies and horses being part of the family is the sadness that comes with the death of one of them. Even though this has happened many times in the 38years of our schools existence, the last death is like the first death was.
This time Morwen was the pony that was 'put to sleep', after a very short illness which had no recovery prospects.
Morwen was brought to Houston because we heard she was being ill treated and neglected and we wanted to try and make sure she had a better life and she repaid us well over the years.
Morwen was at least 10 years old when she joined the Houston herd and that was over twenty years ago. she was a bossy wee lass but a lovely pony to learn to jump with as she placed herself precisely at every jump then popped over without fuss.
She helped many kids enjoy learning to improve their balance without stirrups as she was so beautifully comfy.
Ponies like Morwen are hard to find but we'll keep looking."

Messages From Clients For Morwen
"I love you. You were the best horse in the world. You gave me all my confidence, I don't think i would be half the rider or person if it wasn't for you. Debbie used to call me smiler, that was just because when i was with you my smile beamed from ear to ear.
We had some fun times in that school. We got shouted at for being in the corners but we didn't care :D. I used to love going to see you everyday to give you a good scratch because you could always see the happiness across your face.
I loved everything about you, your comfy ness, your big floppy ears, your big beautiful eyes, your itchiness, your little bald patches and your little hop skip and jump before the jump lol. I loved every little part of you and now i miss every little part of you because you were stolen away from us, but i guess you are now in a better place watching down on us like our little guardian angel. I miss you Morwen. I'm not sure if the pain of losing you will ever get better.
You were the first horse that i truly loved and felt safe on even when you shaked (I found it funny). I went into the tack room today and came across your tack. It still smells of you it made me cry because i miss you so much. Your silver brow band, so distinctive and your girth sleeve covered in hairs. It just all lead me back to you. Then i thought when i miss you i don't have to go far... I just have to look inside my heart because that's where you are for ever more.
No one will ever come close to replacing you in my heart i will love you forever. You are my one in a million. xx
