Please note that from 1st January 2016 everyone riding at Houston MUST wear a riding hat that conforms to the British Kite Mark standard PAS015, as required by all approved riding establishments. The BS EN 1384 standard is being withdrawn. Therefore riding hats conforming to this standard alone can only be worn up until 1st January 2016. If you have riding insurance you should check to confirm when this ruling comes into force for you, otherwise you may not be covered by your insurance. Additional information can be obtained from the British Horse Society website. The Information should be detailed on a label on the inside of the riding hat and will usually be accompanied by a British Standards kitemark symbol similar to the one opposite. However, if you are unsure please feel free to ask when you are next at Houston and someone will check your hat for you.
