Easter 2011 - Pony Courses

The Pony Courses run for 3 days each Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday during the week beginning

11th April & the week beginning 18th April 2011. Children are able to attend one, two or all three days.

The day runs from 09:50am until around 3:00pm, so a packed lunch is needed, and consists of a group riding lesson in the morning, stable management lessons and a second riding lesson in the afternoon. The children are supervised while being encouraged to learn more about their ponies and perform various tasks & quizzes.

The Stable Management areas covered include;

• Handling Horses                        
• Tacking up
• Safety
• Grooming
• Feeding
• Care & Maintenance of Tack
• Looking after a Horse or Pony at Grass.
• The Colours & Markings of Horses.

On the final day we hold a small competition for the children, where everyone gains a certificate.

The cost of the course is; 1 Day = £35, 2 Days = £63 & 3 Days = £90
