Things to do during the holidays
During the holidays Houston offers children from the age of 5 years upwards the chance to join in our "Mini Camps" and for those over 9 years the chance to "Lease a Pony".
The Mini Camps run for 3 days each Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday of each week during the holidays. Children are able to attend one, two or all three days.
This year the mini camps run from 8th July to 19th August inclusive.
The day runs from 10:00am until 3:30pm, so a packed lunch is needed, and consists of a group riding lesson in the morning, stable management lessons and a second riding lesson in the afternoon. The children are supervised while being encouraged to learn more about their ponies and perform various tasks & quizzes.
On the final day we hold a small competition for the children, where everyone gains a rosette and the children are shown how to clean their ponies & tack properly.

Also during the holidays we offer "lease a pony" weeks. This enables children, if they want, to lease a particular pony. They will have a one hour lesson each day Monday to Friday and will then have the responsibility to clean that pony each day & ensure its tack is clean as well as ensuring that the pony gets that little extra attention for the week.
Prices : £50 for a 5 day lease.
