Things to do during the Easter Holidays 

During the Easter holidays Houston offers children from the age of 5 years upwards the chance to join in our "Mini Camps".

Mini Camps 2004

The Mini Camps run for 3 days each Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday during the week beginning 5th April and the week beginning 12th April'2004. Children are able to attend one, two or all three days.

The day runs from 10:15am until around 3:00pm, so a packed lunch is needed, and consists of a group riding lesson in the morning, stable management lessons and a second riding lesson in the afternoon. The children are supervised while being encouraged to learn more about their ponies and perform various tasks & quizzes.

The Stable Management areas covered include;

• Handling Horses

• Tacking up

• Safety

• Grooming

• Feeding

• Care & Maintenance of Tack

• Looking after a Horse or Pony at Grass.

• The Colours & Markings of Horses.

On the final day we hold a small competition for the children, where everyone gains a certificate.
