Competitions (2002-2003)

 

Each year we run Dressage & Show Jumping competitions at Houston. These competitions are arranged by the "Friends of Houston" team. 

 

The cost & start time are noted below;

Note : ** Due to a number of last minute cancellations last year we require £4.00 (paid in advance) for the Jumping evenings.

 

Each event commences at 6:45pm sharp.

* Novelty Classes

On Jumping evenings, if time allows and there is enough interest, we may add an extra class which could be a Chase me Charlie, Open or other. We could consider this class a novelty class and as such points would not be gained, however, rosettes for first to sixth place would be awarded.

 

Chase Me Charlie

 

A single jump is built and each competitor takes a turn to jump it. The height of the jump is raised after everyone has completed one jump. Any refusal or knockdown means instant disqualification. the winner is the competitor who is able to jump the highest.
